I’m Thotshim Lungleng, from Ukhrul District, Manipur. I belong to Tangkhul Naga community. By the grace of God, my parents are still alive, doing well and fine. I have six siblings, excluding me, 4 brothers and two sisters, and I’m the middle one among the siblings.

Being born and brought up in Christian family, I always tried my best to live a righteous life. I would follow the do’s and don’ts of my parents. I always try to be a good student and live a good moral life. I would always try to obey my parents, teachers and elders. In due course of time, I started to mingle with my peers and gradually my lifestyle and behaviour has been changed. I longed to be set free. However, I was not able to set myself free.

As I recall, it was on August 9, 2014, during the evening gospel service (Teens Awakening Camp) that I experienced the joy of salvation for the first time that salvation, which I had been longing for so long, could be received only by faith and not by our righteous work nor human efforts. I surrendered my life to Christ and dedicated my life to Christ for His service. I felt as if heavy chain has been released from my body. After accepting Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord, my life began to change gradually. I become more enthusiastic in serving God. God opens to way for me to serve Him in many ways. He has sustained me, helped me and provides me financial throughout my theological journey that I could complete all my courses. He has been so faithful to me. All glory and honour to God. Amen!
